Hay Fever Essential Oil Blend Product Profile

Origins

The need to soothe symptoms of respiratory allergies for clients, family and myself showed the demand for this blend, so it was formulated in 2009.

History

Hay Blend has been used by men and women aged 20+, to soothe sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, runny nose and stuffy sinuses. Many have been surprised at how well it works from merely a sniff of the bottle, or a drop on a tissue.

Ingredients

Lemon, Frankincense, alpine lavender, eucalyptus radiata, Scotch pine, East Cape manuka, Indian sandalwood, everlasting and German chamomile essential oils.

Texture

Runny/liquid pure essential oil blend.

Fragrance

This blend has a gentle, soothing, clearing aroma with herbal, medicinal, wood and citrus notes.

Use

Our Hay Fever Aromatherapy Inhaler is a convenient way to keep this blend close when at home or out and about. Burners or diffusers also work well (2-3 drops for a medium sized room), as does a drop on a tissue. Steam inhalations may worsen symptoms for some people.

Recommendations for storage

Best refrigerated, or as an alternative, somewhere which stays cool all the time (bathrooms and heated rooms not advised). Storing in cool temperatures helps to prevent early deterioration of the natural ingedients, which are prone to oxidation (reacting with oxygen, which leads to it spoiling).

Safety

Keep out of reach of children, and wash hands well after handling and keep them away from the eyes. Do not use undiluted. If it comes into contact with the skin apply plain vegetable oil to dilute, then wash thoroughly with warm soapy water.
