Origins
Originally made to help calm and still the mind for meditation, Zen is also helpful for letting go of your daily concerns and assisting with relaxation.
History
Zen (originally named Meditation but renamed in 2019) was first made in 2009, as a tool for meditation. It has been well used mostly by women over 30 for its intended purpose, but has also been used with good results for anxiety, to help clear a busy, stressed mind, and to deepen the breathing when it's fast and shallow due to stress.
Ingredients
Sweet orange, rose otto, frankincense, rosewood, Indian sandalwood and vetiver essential oils.
Texture
Liquid essential oil blend - not advised for use neat on the skin, but can be diluted into a moisturiser or vegetable oil for massage or other use on the skin.
Fragrance
A deep, earthy, sweet aroma with floral and citrus notes.
Use
As an aid for meditation, to help slow the breathing and decrease racing thoughts to bring focus and clarity. Also helpful for stress, anxiety, panic and insomnia caused by a racing or busy mind.
Recommendations for storage
Best refrigerated or as an alternative, somewhere which stays cool all the time. Bathrooms and heated rooms are not advised, due to changeable temperatures. Storage in cool temperatures helps to prevent early deterioration of the natural ingredients, which are prone to oxidisation (reacting with oxygen, which leads to products spoiling).
